What is MissionFest?
It is a week when youth and adults from churches across the state (and even from other states) come together for inner-city service, Bible Study, worship, and fellowship -- building relationships in the name of Jesus Christ. Church groups stay at Millsaps College, and a real sense of community develops through the week as we work, play, worship, share meals, and grow in our faith together. Participants are divided into small groups which serve at work sites around the metro Jackson area, including working with children, sorting clothing, visiting the elderly, landscaping, serving meals, etc. While we can't guarantee participants will get their first choice of work sites, they do have the chance to request what they prefer.
Who Comes to MissionFest?
Youth who have completed grades 6-12 and their adult chaperones participate in MissionFest, with strong involvement from churches in the Mississippi Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
NURSING MOTHERS - PRIVACY ROOMS
As part of our recent renovations, Galloway has now added two privacy areas in the church for nursing mothers. We are pleased to provide these spaces for you to comfortably and privately care for your infants while you are at the church. For your convenience, you are welcome to utilize the new Mothers’ Room located on the 1st floor next to Lee Smith’s office or the designated area in the parlor restroom located on the mezzanine floor.
